Designed in Noosa, HUT is deeply inspired by the laid back lifestyle of coastal living.
We are a Family run Fashion Design and Manufacturing business with 30+ years in the industry. Our focus among other styles has always been on making our very well known HUT Boyfriend Linen Shirt.
The now famous HUT Boyfriend Shirt began back in 2012 in our Hastings Street Boutique. Over the years shirting has always been a staple in our wardrobe and an oversized shirt was the perfect Noosa outfit! Yet we could not find one with the quality and fit that we love.
Thanks to our strong manufacturing partnerships in China, we are able to produce small exclusive fabric runs, with Certified Organic Belgian Linen woven specifically for us and developed our HUT buttersoft wash. From there our first shirt was launched in our Hastings Street store and quickly became a customer favourite. We still hear from customers who wear and love their original shirt from over a decade ago!
Customers instantly connected with the beautiful quality and relaxed vibe of the Boyfriend Linen Shirt. It became clear to us the Boyfriend Shirt found its place and this response led us to focus on expanding HUT into wholesale and online, with prints, colours, stripes plaids and checks that no one else could do.

Ethical manufacturing
We partner with manufacturers who share our values, ensuring fair labor practices and safe working conditions for everyone involved in the production process. All our supply partners hold Global Audit Certifications from independent bodies. We control every facet of our product from yarn procurement to finished product. HUT weaves and knits all fabrics directly and does not support use of untraceable materials and ’stock’ fabrics. It is very hard to become a certified Organic Mill and we are proud that we work with the best.

This includes using organic, recycled, and biodegradable materials whenever possible. We are at the forefront of using fabrics with the least impact to our fragile ecosystems.
